I created this page in July 2024 (separate from the Morning Song partners page) because I’m experiencing a temporary (but urgent) financial need.
Why I’m asking for help:
I lost my 9-5 job 11 months ago and haven’t had a successful offer since then.
I moved to a tiny rural town on the border where I could afford housing. I’ve scraped by on transcription work and selling tea at local fairs while working (for free) for a nonprofit startup that empowers women to flourish across the fertility continuum. (I’ll eventually be paid, but not yet.)
Because of these changes, I’ve had to step back from the work of Morning Song Ministries, which is to offer free one-on-one soul care sessions for abuse survivors.
Although you may have seen my Facebook page go dormant, I’m still active on social media, sharing knowledge and resources with women who need help identifying or escaping abuse.
Needs:
As of last month, I’m unable to make rent. (I just got a contract with a new transcription company, but the volume of work is distressingly low even after completing the trial period.)
If you’ve been in my shoes, you know how hard it is to ask for help from the community, even when you need it!
If you feel moved to give, I’m asking for help to get me caught up on bills and household expenses for June, July, and August (in all, now about $1,800).
